Presentation: Hitotsubashi-SMU Webinar - Ageing and Healthcare Economics & Management
On Friday, 19 May 2017, Hitotsubashi University and Singapore Management University held an online 'webinar' on ageing and healthcare economics & management. The purpose of this webinar was to update SIGMA Alliance members on progress by researchers at the two universities into studying and solving ageing-related issues. Knowledge-sharing between Japan and Singapore on these issues is crucial as both countries are simultaneously dealing with rapidly-ageing populations. Professor Rhema Vaithianathan opened the event by describing the Singapore Life Panel® and the research being conducted by researchers at CREA. Later in the event, Professor Tan Hwee Pink described research by the SMU-TCS iCity Lab into cloud-based IT solutions for ageing issues.
